The SEC rate caps cover loans of up to four months, so none applies to a one-year loan.

Before you accept any of these loans

  1. Get the Disclosure Statement first. Under RA 3765, the Truth in Lending Act, Sec. 4, it must show the total amount to be financed; the finance charge in pesos and centavos; the finance charge as a simple annual rate on the unpaid balance. Interest and every processing or service fee count in the finance charge. If one is missing, the lender owes you ₱100 or twice the finance charge, up to ₱2,000, claimable within one year (Sec. 6(a)).
  2. Know the late-payment cap. On loans up to ₱10,000 and four months, the penalty is capped at 5% a month on the amount due, and interest, fees and penalties together cannot pass the amount you borrowed (SEC MC No. 14 s.2025, Sec. 3, effective Apr 1, 2026).
  3. Report a charge above the cap to the SEC on hotline 14732 or the SEC iMessage portal.

If your app is not on any list here, search the SEC list of recorded lending apps or the list of apps the SEC has named as illegal. Of the 110 Google Play and App Store listings the SEC printed in its advisories, 110 now show no app, and 17 of the 34 websites it named still load. The SEC named 28 apps in more than one document, some under a new name, so match the company and Certificate of Authority number, not the app name.

This ranking uses each app's published maximum, not the rate it offers you after a credit check; your Disclosure Statement shows that. For a dispute over a loan, contact the lender, then the SEC.

Questions

What is the lowest interest loan app in the Philippines?

On ₱10,000 over 120 days, Pocketcash (Elending) has the lowest published maximum cost of the apps on the SEC list: at most ₱600 in interest and fees. Vplus (at most ₱600) and HappyPera2 (at most ₱789) come next.

Which legit loan apps have low interest?

Of the 62 apps on the SEC list that lend ₱10,000 for 120 days and publish a price, 40 stay within the SEC caps (6% a month interest, 12% a month all-in) at their published maximum.

Which loan app has low interest and a long term?

For ₱10,000 over a year, Pocketcash (Elending) has the lowest published maximum: ₱1,800 in interest and fees, then Direct Loan at ₱2,160. The SEC rate caps do not cover loans longer than four months.

Why rank by total cost instead of the interest rate?

Apps state their price in different ways: a daily rate, a monthly rate, or an APR, and some charge a service or processing fee, either taken from your payout or added to what you repay. The total cost counts all of it, so it is the only figure you can compare across apps.

About this ranking

No lender pays to appear here or to change its position. Each app is ranked by its published maximum, interest plus every published fee. Looking for the best loan app overall, not just the cheapest? See the full comparison.
