- Missed an instalment: you have a grace period of at least 60 days, then at least 2 years to reinstate the plan before it can be cancelled.Pre-Need Code sec. 23
- Want out: you can end the plan in writing at any time and receive the termination value in your contract.Pre-Need Code sec. 24
- If the company fails: the plan's trust fund is for planholders only and cannot pay the company's other creditors.Pre-Need Code sec. 30
Complaints
- Write to CityPlans first. Put the policy or plan number, what happened and what you want in one letter or email, and keep proof of the date.
- Then go to the Insurance Commission. The IC takes requests for assistance on claims and complaints through its public assistance forms, by email to publicassistance@insurance.gov.ph or by phone on (02) 8523-8461 local 103 or 127.
- Report anyone selling without a licence to the IC Regulation, Enforcement and Prosecution Division, repd@insurance.gov.ph.

How tax applies to the plan

- Worked example: ₱50,000 of plan contributions collected. DST = ₱50,000 ÷ ₱200 = 250 units × ₱0.40 = ₱100 (Sec. 186).
