Questions
How much does BIR registration cost?
Our fee is quoted after the first reply. It depends on whether you already have a TIN, whether it needs moving to another RDO, whether you'll use a business name, and how you'll set up books and invoices. On the BIR side, the only fee is ₱30 documentary stamp tax. The ₱500 annual registration fee no longer exists under RA 11976.
What do you need from me?
Not your TIN or ID in the enquiry. After our first reply we'll ask for a government ID with your address, your DTI certificate if you use a business name, your existing TIN details if any, and your invoice choice.
When do I have to register?
On or before you start your business or practice. RA 11976 says you register once, electronically or manually, with the right RDO. You may see a 30-days-after-DTI rule online; it isn't in the law.
Do I need a barangay clearance or mayor's permit to register with the BIR?
They aren't on the October 2025 Form 1901 list of requirements. Your city may still require them for its own business permit, which our business registration service covers.
Will I issue official receipts?
No. Under RA 11976, invoices replaced official receipts as the document you issue for sales of goods and services.
Can I register myself?
Yes. Many freelancers do it through ORUS, and our step-by-step guide covers the form and documents. Help makes sense when your TIN is in another RDO, the RDO asks for more than the published list, or you can't spare the time.
Will you choose between 8% and graduated rates for me?
No. We explain how each works for your income so you can decide, and our calculator shows the numbers. Tax planning advice needs a CPA or tax lawyer.
How long does registration take?
It depends on your RDO and on whether an existing TIN has to be updated first. We don't promise a turnaround before we know your situation.
