BPI Edge Card: fees, interest and requirements

The BPI Edge Card has a monthly membership fee of ₱110, waived in the first year and charges 3% a month on unpaid balances.

Verdict: Worth it if the points you redeem are worth more than ₱1,320 a year. The first year is free.

₱20,000 repaid in 3 equal monthly payments at 3% a month costs ₱1,212 in interest; add ₱110 a month in membership fees (₱1,320 a year) and a year comes to ₱2,532, 23rd lowest of 127 cards open to the public.

BPI's closest card is the BPI Platinum Rewards Card. Against it, this card costs ₱1,320 a year instead of ₱4,000, earns rewards on different terms and has different perks.
